I need some perspective. While surfing huricane bill:)bowdown:)this weekend I managed to pick up a nasty rash on my inner thighs. Not exactly on any important bits, but its a bit close for comfort.

Went and saw the doc, they said, no big deal, rub this on for two weeks and you should be good as new.

I have two sex parters who I usually see pretty regularly but are definitely not my GF's or anything. Ducking them for two weeks would be VERY out of the norm. I'm not exactly sure if picking up a pretty gnarly rash is really tmi for a casual dating situation.

Should I come clean and just tell them and let them figure out how they would like to handle it? Thats my initial feeling, even though I am at the WAY uptight end about not wanting to discuss unsexy bodily functions or conditions. I'd REALLY rather not, but i just don't see any way out.

Doc said it should be at least mostly cleared up in 2 weeks, so its not like i can be a bit evasive. If i wanted to avoid honesty id have to go into massively shady/dishonest territory.

Just tell em the truth. It's not like you picked up AIDS from a 50 cent hooker.

Just lie and tell them you have something going on for the next two weeks. Some lies are better then the truth

Yea, if it IS an std thats kinda gross, but if it's a normal rash, why should they be so freaked out?

tempting.. really it is. but I don't want to be one of those shady people. I usually see each of them like once a week at LEAST with 2 times being more usual. It would be super shady and sure they'd probably say ok cool.. but they would be :squint: "yeah, uh huh" about it.

I really don't see the big deal in just bringing up how you were surfing and got a rash that hurts :ugh:

just tell them. if they don't believe you, that's pretty weird. I don't think I'd continue hooking up with somebody that didn't trust me completely.

there are red splotches 3 inches from my junk. I saw it last night, called out of work and ran STRAIGHT for the std clinic. they said it was not an std, then ran straight to a dermatologist.

i mean, hell, i had a staph infection on my inner thigh last summer and i had no qualms explaining it. if it's legit and not shady, people don't normally care.

If you tell them, say something like "I was in the ocean and something bit me" and you'll probably get a :naughty: reply from them

Here's what I'd do, I'd say this first:

"I have something that I feel I should tell you. I don't know how I got it, but I contracted massive herpes and it's spread so bad that there are rashes up and down my legs."

Then I'd let them respond with whatever :ugh: response they'll probably give you and then I'd be like:

"Just kidding bitch. It's just a rash from surfing."

Laughter and good times to ensue.

    Me neither :dunno:

Try some A&D ointment for it or Pink Salve to protect it if it's bothering you when you walk around- it should make it feel better :hs:

As an Aussie, I totally understand getting a rash from being on a board. So would any girl who lives within 100k from the beach.

Just say it's from surfing if it is - is it?

sounds like you are chaffed between your legs.. no sure why you would have to tell your sex partners about it.. unless they ask.. then its a rash from surfing.. why are we over thinking this?

FYI I read up until the doc said it was no big deal

    needless self-consciousness, no worries.

tell them it's God's punishment for you surfing hurricanes.

actually, ask them to rub rash cream on your thighs. tell them they have to do it or no more sex. :nono:

actually - mention it in passing, as if it weren't the end of the world that you got a sea rash, even though, obviously, it IS the end of the world :hsugh:

acting super nervous and uptight about it is another option. they know what you're like at this point. if that's what you're like, it wouldn't surprise 'em; no harm done. so even if you act all self-conscious and weird about it, that's not the end of the world.

but why be that way? needless awkwardness-pain. just tell them the HUGE THING that happened, which is that ... your immune system detected a foreign host and as a result your thighs have red marks :eek3:

it sounds like you are particularly sensitive to this kind of thing, but insofar as someone you've met briefly and spoken with for a couple of hours can assure you of something, i assure you that this is nothing.

man that sounds like a fun time though (the surfing)...
