    Bolded what he's right about.

Both candidates work for the same "team" - which is growing the government. They just want to spend your money in different ways.

They were both bought and sold by lobbyists long ago, or they'd never have the money to campaign so long and hard. When it comes down to making decisions they are going to side with the group that gave them the money instead of what's good for the country.

Just the way big-time politics work these days.

and you obviously have no fucking clue what you're talking about. i'm sorry, but do some research.

and spending money is part of being president. find a prosperous country that doesnt pay taxes. Guess what happens with money generated from taxes, it gets spent. What is so audacious about that?

    I didn't say taxes weren't necessary.
But at what point have we paid enough taxes? The rate of government spending keeps going up and up and up. How much of our GDP should be spend by the government?

Personally I think that we have too much government in our lives as it is, and each person should decide what to do with the majority of their money - not pass it off a bureaucrat who gets to decide how the money is spent.

    fucking dot.
I remember when I was a kid and I bought up all the conspiracy theory type crap that's out there. It's really fun, until you educate yourself. Then you can't help but laugh at the hilarity people try and spin.

Even if that is true (there is a good case to be made that the opposite is true,) it doesn't mean we need the government to tax everyone more and more each year to pay for more and more regulatory bodies, social programs, foreign aid, etc. And neither party is going to put a stop to (or slow down) government spending anytime soon.

have you never picked up a newspaper?
Do you have any idea how much spending will be curbed by ending the iraq war?
Have you never seen figured on spending and debt from reagan to bush to clinton to bush?

you really should spend some time reading up on the candidates.

And when is Obama going to pull out if Iraq? I agree that it would save a shitload of money if we did and it would be a good start to curbing government spending, but Obama voted FOR the continued funding of the Iraq war.

Sure he talks a good game now that he's wanting people to vote for him, but I look at what politicians DO rather than what they say.

And what good does all that savings really do when Obama wants to turn Afghanistan into the new Iraq and double foreign spending. IF he does pull out of Iraq then the money saved there is just going to other military actions overseas.
