so i go to ipac the other day to do my travel claim for coming to japan, so i hand the corporal my bus ticket to MCT and a recipt to get from hiroshima airport to their train station and then a train ticket to iwakuni which ended up being like 2000 yen.... well that corporal must have forgotten to make note of that cuz i just checked my bank account and i have been credited with 2100 dollars making me for a very brief amount of time, a happy PFC, i know i gotta go back in the next day or so and tell them about the mistake.... or should i? will the marine corp just take back all of the mistake at once or would i not get paid for like 3 pay periods or what or do you think that this is one of those things that theyll never notice? input please

(my plan is to go in two or so days back there and try and get the shit fixed)

i would keep transfer it to savings and keep my mouth shut about it for awhile.

actually I wouldn't because I'm honest. but if I wasn't honest, that is what I would do.

disbursing will eventually catch it and the they'll check your ass the money when you least expect it. Keep your mouth shut, do NOT spend the money in the event they check you, you won't have a shitty paycheck (or none at worst). If they do check you, you will at least have that money and won't cause a ripple into your finances.

use it to your advantage and make some money off of their mistake.
    THEY WILL EVENTUALLY CATCH IT!!!!1JUANONE
Put it into savings and let it make some money for you. Then when they finally check your oay for it, request to repay it back at a dollar amount that YOU DECIDE ON! Lots dont know its possible, but if you do it in time, you can decide how it gets repaid.

Go back and tell them, they can withdraw the amount out of your paycheck over the course of a year or so. Basically you walk away knowing your paycheck will be intact, and an interest free loan. If you don't tell them, one month in the next five years, your deposit will be less $2100.

This man speaks the truth. I've already had to do that with $3000.
