So I bought a house in Minnesota which means no supressors. :(

Can I create a living trust/corporation using a PO Box as it's address in ND and utilize a safe deposit box at a bank as the storage location for a supressor being they are not legal in MN?

Just a random question and I honestly think the answer is going to be no, but I am not that familiar w/ the subject.

    Thanks.

I expect it's all going to be based on state of residency... unless there are officers of the corporation/trustees residing in ND.

    Also - lurk much?

I'm not sure if things are different for a trust (and whether the ATF would scrutinize it more), but a company can incorporate in any state it chooses. The company may have to file another form for a 'foreign entity' because it's out of state, but it isn't that big of deal. Most companies will incorporate in Delaware or Nevada due to different tax and employee laws. I don't see why a person trying to incorporate should be any different.

Talk to a lawyer. I really wouldn't mess around with the BATFE.

My guess is a no go- unless you had a residence their. that would be for a trust.

Now corp may be different if you had an actual business in that state- and I'd probably venture to say as well show a use for the item in this case as a play it say with the man.

But that's my $0.02. Lawyer is probably best bet.

i've heard of guys living in Missouri, and owning suppressors that reside in safety deposit boxes in the state of Kansas since they passed their suppressor law before ours. When ours goes into effect in august or sept, they'll bring them across the state lines.
