Decided to hit the gunstore to browse around today. Came home with a new gunlight to replace the XML Verm gave me.(Time to sell that off.)

Streamlight TLR-1. 3 watts, 80 lumens and all LED. Aluminum casing too.

Also found a supply of the factory 45 mags which everyone is out of so I bought 4.

Thought this would be nice to mount on the car but the pricetag was a bit too much.

But then...I made the mistake of looking at the display case in the back and lo and behold look what I find..

I dropped 3 bills to hold it but there unfortunately is a catch. The store owner gets first dibs.
He is out of town but when he gets back from Hawaii this week, if he decides he doesn't want it, it goes to me. (So far I haven't found anyone that has one in stock yet. Owner knows guys at FN apparently. Hopefully this is going to be a sweet score.

What's the price for th PS90?

The barrel looks long in pics but in person, the whole thing is pretty damn small.

He probably won't want it since he already has a full auto in the safe. :) I am crossing my fingers. I want the longer barrel though because it's going to be a coyote and vamint killer out here. I will make back the 1300 bucks just from the ranchers paying for dead coyotes.

Haven't heard of any jamming issues. Roommate's using one and thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread for security detail.

also has 4 full size 50 round magazines too. not those 20 round crap ones. Store up in Reno also has 50 rounders in stock so I won't have a problem getting more. Ammo is just going to kill me.
I may get the short barrel though just to have available as an option.

It would make a pretty compact sniper rifle huh?
thread the barrel and get a suppressor and it would fit under a coat.

    :noes:

:werd: We don't need these compact assault weapons on the streets slaying our women and children.

I heard the 5.7x28 really benefits from the longer barrel.
    I'd rock it.

Wouldn't FN 5.7 x 28 be REAL expensive to be shooting vermin with?

Surely even .223 would be cheaper all round?

    Ok it's less "e-peen" but...

Anyone see the FN ad in the SHOT show guide? They were offering a free PS90 to dealers who kept 9 FN guns in stock. Like 5 or 6 specific guns, and then after that any other FN guns as long as it added up to 9.

    Pretty sweet deal.

Checked out a PS90 last week in the shop. I'm not sold on the built in optics, but was surprised at how well the white reticle showed up.

It may be a bit pricey, but prices are going down, albeit slowly.
Besides, it's worth it to be a bit different when everyone else is using the Ford Escort of rifles, the M4. :)

I was going to use the Nagant when I was finished building it up, but that's just a bit to much overkill. This will do perfectly.

That's going to be the first thing I replace. Get rid of that for a factory rail system and longer range optics.

Why would it come with a short barrel? Its a rifle. You'd make it an SBR if you added the short barrel.

Looks fun but expensive to shoot!

    meh.....that FN ps90 looks pretty gay....:squint:

id put 1300 dollars towards something w/ more balls. The 5.7 may penetrate body armor if you buy the banned AP rounds....but even then, the ballistics of the round are very similar to a .22 magnum...soooooo......:o

It fires the same armor-piercing ammunition as the FN FiveseveN, which as we all know is the weapon of choice for criminals against law enforcement!

Where the hell do you live? There's a ton of them for sale in Houston. Hell I know one store with 4 in stock.. They had 6 but sold two yesterday. For a rediculous amount over cost too. People will pay stupid amounts just to say they have something no one else does. 30$ for 50 rounds.. WTFBBQ!

If the barrel were its intended length instead of the shitty 14.5 inches, and if it were auto... I might think about one... but this thing... m eh.
