Making batches of food in bulk and then freezing portions like chili, minestrone, curries, vindaloos, lasagna, cannelloni, meat pies, buying farmers market veggies and then freezing them for 1/8 the cost of frozen veggies at the store, etc...

Make sure they are clean. Blanch then drain as good as you can and then put them in an airtight ziplock or container. Get as much air out as you can. Don't cheap out on these as the dollar store ones will give your veggies freezer burn and shrivel them. Especially beans.

For frozen veggies, I like the Green Giant Steamers, cuz you can just put them in the microwave.

For meat when I don't have time to cook, I buy pre-cooked pork loin steaks and just microwave them at work and eat them with dijon mustard.
