    how about just using search?

    start--> search

    choose "all files and folders"

    choose "what size is it?"

    choose "specify size" and put in a number... 50000 is 50 meg (or close enough)

    Because it's not as accurate and take longer.
    Have you ever tried a program like TreeSize? I'm guessing you haven't.
    This turns up just the folder sizes and also list the total size of the files in the folder in question root, not just it's subfolders.

    And sure he can also go folder by folder to see how big they are but again that's slow.

    This software looks good. I was actually getting ready to write my own, but this might just save me the effort.

    Why are these guys giving this software away? Are there ads? Is there some evil subsection in the license agreement? Or are they just cool like that?

    This version is very basic. No special features. When you scan a large drive it'll prompt you about their pro version.
    There is no ad/spy ware. And nothing evil in the EULA that I know of.
