    i just installed Ubuntu Linux on my other 'puter. Its ok and all, but, how the hell do i set up a wireless network connection on it? im using Ubuntu Linux and Linksys network equipment. someone please help.

    Go to System > Administration > Networking.
    Is there a "Wireless connection" listed? If not, then it probably isn't supported. If there is, then click "Wireless connection" and then the activate button.

    Some unsupported cards can be got working via ndiswrapper which uses Windows driver files. I've never done that before, but I bet there's a HOWTO on the ubuntu wiki or on the forums.

    If you use WPA security, there's an extra step to setup that. Install network-manager-gnome through synaptic, and it's pretty easy to setup.
