I've had this installion of Mandrake 8.2 for quite a while now..Everytime I try to install it, I get to the point where I pick the installion class and it tells me "An error occured, depslist.ordered mismatch against hdlist files." I'm sort of a newbie to Linux so can anybody tell me how to get past this?

Where did you get your copy of the distro from? Did you download it?

I had trouble with the 7.0 installer, but 7.1 worked fine, so maybe just get the latest version. I had no problem with 8.2, so it could just be your copy or your machine also.

I went out and bought the distro..I didn't have a problem with Mandrake 7.2 or RedHat 6.2 when I installed them..

Hm, try asking Mandrake support I guess... Mailing lists are usually very helpful in the Linux community :wiggle:
