I have been working on my e-commerce for a while now, I do all of my own link building work but I feel I have to be missing something. Mostly all the link building I do is commenting on high PR blogs, and wondering if anyone wants to share some suggestions? Iv'e heard about article building, web 2.0 shit and all that, but it doesn't seem to apply as easy to my e-commerce site.

Cliffs: where can I get good links for an e-commerce site besides blogs?

you do realize that most high PR blogs use no follow for comments? The only ones that tend to have dofollow turned on are a select few SEO type blogs

your best bet is to submit to relevant directories. Most of them it'll cost you a few bucks, unless you'll give them a link back on your own site

Yea, don't want any reciprocal links, any specific directorys you have used you and seen improvements with? Most to me seem all like spam, I don't worry about the cost if it will help.

I have some pretty good keywords ranked high, just because the site has been around for so long. Just working on new keywords/landing pages/product pages/more traffic.

DoFollow, NoFollow, it's like wearing a condom while you're having sex. Either way, you're still having sex. Those NoFollow links will add up in the long run.

Go to Digixmas.com, get their directory submitter, and get started. You pay something like $15 per site but it's worth it. I submit all of mine to their list of 1,800+ directories.

PM me if you need help with it or want my affiliate link. ;-)

Checked it out, appears you pay them 100$ for 1500 directories? Sounds to cheap to be worthwhile, 1500 spamed up directories? :hs:

$100? What costs $100 over there? You get the software for free. Then, if you want you can submit to 100 directories at no charge.

That's a waste of energy, though, so I pay the $15 per site.

Yes, out of 1,800 directories, there are probably 800 spammy ones, but there are also a good number of PR 1 - 6 directories included there. You should at least do those and then decide if you want to do the rest.

I will say that I have used the software on about 8 of my sites. By the time I'm done (and I only do 50 - 100 submissions per day for each site), my sites are ranking.

Of course, there are other things you can do as well, but I just met you guys. ;)

(Notice how my avatar has a "black hat"?....lol)

I was looking at there submission services, I just still don't see how submitting to that many spammy directories in a short ammount can help, tried one before and saw no results at all. Maybe ill consider trying it on a test site so I don't fuck up my money maker.

Any method is worth talking about, no matter who shady it may be ;)
