friend just bought a 02 lincoln ls v8 and has decided he would like a bit more power out of it. Are there any lincoln ls tuning shops? any power adders for them like a supercharger kit perhaps?

Saleen may sell parts for it. They do Thunderbird stuff and it has the same 3.9L V8.

i would assume the exhaust is very restrictive. get some decent cat back, k&n filter, maybe headders and you have a good start. id start with the exhaust. after that then look at maybe a tranny swap to the 5 speed and some power adder

Owning 2 LS's i will tell you the LS is not a car built for speed. if you want to add power, my advice would be join the LLSOC.com, it's $35/yr but worth it.

Borla and Magnaflow both make catback exhausts for the car, which you can get at a discount through the site, as well as about 3 different intake systems.

As far as turbos or superchargers, nothing is available due to the car having such high compression.

I have a Lincoln LS. I think it's fast ... but it's not like I race it or anything. :hs:

isnt it basically the same motor as the Jaguar S-Types? if you're serious i'm sure the R's motor could be swapped :eek3:

well i just heard a sound clip of a steeda exhaust :o sounds awesome.

definitely suggesting that at a bare minimum.

    what about performance chipping?

did they try adding a supercharger to the LS' motor, or a jaguar supercharged motor to the LS?

no chips, no turbos, no s/c's, no headers, only exhausts and intakes, and steeda doesn't have an exhaust it's the borla exhaust

well that was a bummer reading. its like just outside the range of great power, like if it has another 20-25hp it would be super

turboing the Ls motor - tried, didnt work
swapping the R engine into the ls - tried, didnt work
bolting the R s/c onto the LS engine - tried, didnt work
