I've been following this thread over at thehighroad.org:

Hurricane Flu : A Zombie Story

Pretty darn entertaining. Are there any novels I've been missing out on? This is besides Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z. Already read them.

also theres a comic called the walking dead. Its about a cop who wakes up in hospital after the zombies have taken over. I'm not really a comic guy but I enjoy it. You can get an e-book version from a torrent site.

Oh shit, I read the first ones of those a couple years ago. I have a friend who's really into comic books and I think he owns all of them. Next time I visit I'm going to borrow them, I remember the artwork being pretty cool and the story being not bad.

Just finished reading the two PDFs. There is more to this story, right? I looked on the frugalsquirrel website, but only found download links for these files you already provided. Just as the action was getting started...

    Edit: Found it with Google!

FYI, the author of Hurricane Flu is in the process of writing part II. A preview of it can be found on page 3 of the original thread at THR. Hope it's as good as the first one. :noes:

Lights Out was great. Another story along that lines is Dies the Fire, where 'something' takes out all the electricity as well as all the guns in the world (gun powder doesn't work).

As far as zombies, The Walking Dead is a comic but is good. The Autumn series is good, I've read the first 3 and you can get the original for free on the book's website. Day by Day Armageddon is my favorite zombie book. Written by a guy who is current military, so it's taking a little while for the second to be released. And I've heard good things and I'm trying to get a hold of Plague of the Dead.

I'll have to check out Dies the Fire, Day by Day Armageddon, and Plague of the Dead. I did read the first Autumn book, but that was some time ago and don't remember the story line.

    Thanks for the suggestions! :bigthumb:

Seriously drop what you are doing right now and download/read. :eek3:

I think there is a torrent in the Zombie thread in Adventures Beyond Reality forum or whatever the Sci Fi forum is now. The next 10 issues after 39 are the best of the series. Issue 50 for me was pretty "meh" after waiting so long. But 49 is the climax of the series, for me thus far.

The second Autumn book is better, best of the 3 I have read. That's the one where the military gets involved. I think. I'm only about 6 chapters in to Dies the Fire but it's good so far. That is also the first in a trilogy.

Finished Day by Day Armageddon. Sweet story, but wanting more. The author needs to finish part II and Dead Land soon. :big grin:

I'm starting Reign of the Dead now and have Apocalypse End waiting.

Yep. Paid for them. $6 each. Want a copy? They're Adobe digital editions.
