Looks like the only real advantage of 2 is that you can manage ur photos easier and export them?

Has anyone used both and is it worth the upgrade?

When 2 first came out, it had a bunch of bugs. With the new updates, its well worth the upgrade!

Smeg, version 2.3 is out. Nothing too crazy, just some fixes.

I used LR 1.1, didn't like it. Used Aperture v1, liked it better. Then LR 2 came out, liked it better than Aperture. Aperture 2 came out, still like LR 2 better.

I prefer the dual monitor support in LR2

I'm still using LR v.1 because it came with my computer.

um the HUGE diff between LR1 and LR2 is that LR2 has brush-on adjustments and skin smoothing

Oh yeah? Worth an upgrade? Does it run faster, slower or the same?

I hated LR1 because it was fucking SLOW.

Is the new one faster? Old one was awful when working with large amounts of images.

The new one is def faster. It is all about RAM. As I recall, you used to post about LR running slow on your MBP despite the ram being maxed. LR 2 runs very nicely on my MBP with only 2 gigs of ram.

    I might have :dunno:

But yeah I have a MBP with 4GB RAM and it was way too slow. I'm sure most wouldn't consider it painfully slow or anything btu I've got a pretty quick workflow that I'm used to, so maybe I'm just too accustomed to that.
