Went to a local camera shop in LA looking for a light reflector. A 42" was about $60. I found some on ebay and a comparable one costs about $25. Are the ebay ones good or will i get what i pay for? :o

:dunno: i have one of the ebay 5 in 1 42" reflectors that's silver, gold, white, black and a white diffuser. seems to be as good as one that a friend has that paid a lot more for theirs.

As far as I've read the only real differences when it comes to reflectors and shit is that the cheap ones can have a slight color cast when using the white one and they can be fractions less reflective.

That said, I have cheap Promaster ones.

i have a photoflex 32" multidisc i got for $30 used (normally 70 or so). I love it, i have used the cheap ones and it really doesnt compare. the problem was the more you use the ebay ones, the more prone they are to warp. They start out great for white and silver (their gold is useless), but then start to warp and wrinkle. The photoflex i have has been through teh ringer. Still keeps kickin.

My mom will probably kill me for this... but here is what mine looks like, i use it alot.

Was testing a butterfly setup on my mom, when i was over there place yesterday lol.
