i was in a similar argument with my roommate about strength vs power

he seems to believe that strength is purely your ability to do more repititions of the same weight

while power is just doing like one rep maxes

Reminds me of one of the ads for Matt Furey's courses... comparing a monkey to a weight lifter. Something to the effect a monkey is far more powerful and/ because the monkey only used body weight exercises.:ugh:

That's probably true... but it sure wasn't because of doing bodyweight only exercises.

maybe like the anchoring points of their musculature and their skeletal system as a whole is radically different from ours?!?! :noes:

matt furey knows some cool exercises but he's still a fruitcake. didn't he claim to channel the spirit of a dead 100 yr old farmer to learn the secrets of old school catch wrestling?

true, so technically, if you lift 600 lbs in 10 seconds, and i lift 200 lbs in 2 seconds.... i exert more power than you. but anyways......

    now back to the topic...
