i cant tell you how many friends ask me tips on training, how to diet, blah blah blah, but when it comes down to it, they can't stick to a dedicated 4-5 times a week lifting schedule. Always make excuses and just don't enjoy it and dont get much satisfaction out of it :dunno: On the other hand, you have the few gym rats that just love going to the gym and can't stop talking about it.

    just something i noticed.

Love everything about it. Especially my sexy body. The injuries are FTL though.

How long have you been lifting RazoR? It's not really realistic to claim you're dedicated to something until you've been doing it for years (5+). In lifting terms I consider the dedicated to be 10+ year people because at the point it's simply apart of what you do. Iv'e seen many people come and go in lifting.. some people get super gung ho and quit in 2 years.

The ones that seem to stick with it it's not an "enjoy" thing it's just what they do. I can't really imagine not training.

I've been working out consistently since I was about 14, but only just recently (4 months ago) began an actual program relevant to what we discuss here in FN.

I dread some days just due to the monotony, which I know I can easily change... But otherwise I love it. I can't claim to be dedicated per NUDES' stipulations (not being a smartass), but I can't see myself stopping anytime in the next 20 years or so.

been lifting for about 3 years now. More serious about it this past year. Going a few times a week consistently for a few years shows that you at least enjoy doing it. I see myself sticking with it for years to come. Just comparing the people that come for a few weeks, give up or just don't have a passion for it, then come once or twice a week cause they have nothing else to do and don't really enjoy it.

I'd rather be in the gym than anything else in my life.
I've lost friends, I've ignored family events, just to lift.

    so yes, love it.

its because people dont have the dedication and motivation to stick it out for a year where you actually see real results, after that period of time, i feel like youd have to be retarded not to love it.

Just because you don't enjoy it doesn't mean others can't enjoy it while maintaining the same amount of dedication.

Someone recently asked me what I did when I didn't want to go to the gym. The answer was simple; the same thing I do when I want to go to the gym.

what about noobie results? wouldnt that be enough for someone to love it and stick with it? people can be motivated to go to school, work, study for hours without getting instant gratification, but when it comes to lifting, it simply isnt there.

I find that the days when I least want to go to the gym, are the days i feel best after working out.

It's called the grind for a reason.

I used to be a pretty big fatty mc fat fat. Eating three or four double cheeseburgers with added mac sauce and lettuce, and a large ice coffee right before I would go to bed because it was a convenient time to work out. I had tried lifting/working out before in the past, going a day or two out of the week or going once every week. I never stuck with it. In September, I saw my buddy who was the same weight as me two years ago, but had stuck with going to the gym, five days a week. My jaw dropped. He was cut like no other. Since then I've been going consistently and I cannot/willnot/do not see myself stopping anytime soon. I've skipped friend/family/church events over lifting. I love it. Every bit of it. I owe my life/health/livelyhood to it.

One of the best feelings is walking to your car after a bad ass workout and the drive home, it's fucking euphoric.

:bowdown: while sipping on your whey and almost getting into a car accident cause you can barely turn the steering wheel with your pumped up biceps. The drive home is more satisfying, but the drive to the gym is fucking exciting as well.
