I've looked through the forums and I can't find anything great.
Bought some books on recommendation but they are all about getting bigger and stronger.

I don't need to get bigger, I'm just genetically huge. I just want to drop the fat, lean up, and become healthier.

Can anyone recommend a lifting program for me to help me drop fat and lean up? I'm all about manning up and biting down and doing it hard. 5-7 days a week isn't a problem for me.

*I don't do squats. The risk vs reward on my bad knees just isn't worth it to me.

    Thanks guys!

Wow you guys sure are assholes. My knees pronate in and one of my knee caps isn't in place properly so doing squats isn't part of my program.

I have awful knees too. Dislocated both of them 3 or 4 times..

Yet I can manage squats just fine. It's all mental, I believe.

well faggot, since you are being such a faggot about it, i have a metal plate to keep my knee cap in place when I fucked it up skateboarding. The doctor told me never to put any amount of stress on that knee again. I currently squat 270 @ 148lbs. Now stfu

    Same.

I used legpress to build up some of the muscle around my knees, then switched over the squats.

It's a hell of a difference, and well worth it.

And FWIW, I used to have ALL sorts of knee issues. Arthritis, general pain, etc. No more after working out my legs properly.

Just start slow and be careful.

I've squated 600 with a repaired and already retorn ACL.
    Squats do help my knees.

But, reguardless squats aren't going to completely make or break this dudes goals. they sure would help though. I don't beleive he's read the stickies because had he read the stickies he'd be asking much more specific questions instead of this broad generic shit.

ask more specific questions and I'll be glad to answer them.

I have an E-Book "burn the fat feed the muscle" that has a chapter on why dieting is not enough to lose weight and that you need weights

Maybe I will upload it to the otfn thing but it says they can track me :(

Sounds like a lost cause unless you want to mutate yourself.

I was genetically huge, too, until I started running....

You don't have to squat or deadlift to get in shape, regardless of what F&N says. If however you're just using your knee as an excuse to not work out your legs AT ALL, then that's a different story altogether.

I'd rather just do 2 or 3 different exercises to work the same muscle groups instead of doing squats. Personal preference.

And yes, without fat, I'm genetically large. Short legs, long torso, huge shoulders. I don't take any credit for my dad's Y chromosome. If I cardio my ass off I can drop to 218 lbs and never get a lb lower than that. I've been there before and didn't like the results. I had shoulder surgery and gained 20 lbs and I want to transform it into lean muscle mass. I know how to diet, I've looked through stickies, I just haven't found a good routine to help me with my goals. I purchased the book Bigger, Faster, Stronger through the recommendation of a friend who is a college athlete and the book is goal oriented towards getting, surprise, bigger. I want to be lean.

At 6'4" my friends are 185 lbs and lean. At 6'4" I can't physically get below 218 lbs and I was as lean as them. Please explain why when we are both >10% body fat, I weigh 33 lbs more than them. Oh wait, my short legs, long torso, and shoulders as broad as a truck. Like I said, I'm genetically huge in terms of frame.
