i seem to get some acid reflux / heart burn that usually occurs during lifting.

is there any reason for this that anyone can think of?

I get it bad when I work abs sometimes. I try to avoid spicy food/hotsauce/diet soda before working out.

I used to get chronic heartburn day after day when I was in HS. I feel now that I have my diet in check through lifting, it's more or less stopped. What really did me in was coffee, especially in the morning. Energy drinks don't do it, but coffee does. Also sometimes I get slight heartburn from heavily acidic things like lemonade or even the green power aid gets me sometimes.

Not even gonna share my stories... but just know that I had very bad acid reflux/heartburn (so bad is was keeping me up at night) and went to the doctor for it. She gave me Prevacid... pretty much the best medicine I've ever taken. By the 2nd day it was 100% gone and has been since.

nope, no caffeine in my diet.

i think it's time to keep a log of what i eat and how i feel when i eat/workout so i can rid my body of whatever it is that's causing it

Try Gaviscon extra strength and lay off carbonated drinks and tomatoes.

I used to get heartburn really bad after deadlifts. Straining can do it.
