    LG L1400 vs Motorola V551

I'm thinking of getting a new phone and it's between these two. I currently have the V600 and I like it's design. I'm just looking for people's opinions and trying to figure out which one is best. Any input appreciated.

Why are they so crappy? What are some of the problems you've had with them?

I was kind of leaning towards the LG because I can get it for $99 but after rebates they end up paying me $50. The V551 is the same price but after rebates is free.

LG L1400: over 90% that we sell come back with big purple lines across the screen when you turn on the camera. Some within the first day, some a few months down the road

LG C1300: LG had to release another antenna to make the phone even usable. Worst phone we have as far as reception is concerned.

Both have MAJOR software issues. They randomly assign ringtones, and usually within 6 months will no longer ring....just vibrate.

You'll get the famous "Emergency Only" message when trying to place a call

You're WAP settings will mysteriously dissapear one day

They'll charge all night, only to give you 1 bar of battery the next morning

    Is that enough? :dunno:

My LG phone does the charging all night 1 bar thing...fucking sucks

I have to turn the phone off ..plug it in to charge...then turn it on and let it charge. Otherwise I risk the 1 bar in the morning thing.

seriously though, as conservative as the styling is on most of the nokia phones, i've never had a problem with nokia and the reception is usually great.

My first 3 phones were Nokia and I never had a problem with any of them. My last one and current are Motorola V series. Haven't had any major problems, just the occasional freeze up.
