It's a fungus that causes "spots" on the back and stomach area. The fungus lives on 90% of humans although symptoms only show in some young adults. Growth is stimulated by high protein and cholesterol intake, as well as sweating.

Seems like the kind of thing that would drive lifers crazy :eek3:

If you get symptoms, you can buy some lotrimin(not lamisil) with the active ingredient clotrimazole. That's the Azole topical agent they are talking about. Lamisil's active ingredient treats a different class of fungus.

Also, if you have symptoms like this, you can prevent it by applying some selson blue(or other dandruff brand) in a body sponge and washing your body with it for 3 mins, once a week.

Every couple of years I will have it pop up, sucks. I think this summer I will take precautionary measures with the selson, b/c once you get it, takes awhile to get the color back in your skin. I got it around the back of my neck also. It is most prevalent in the summer- that's when you sweat the most.

I've just started using Selsum Blue now... Kinda sucks that this pops up every time I start to seriously bulk. By bodytemp shoots through the roof and I'm permanently sweating even while naked :o

The wife had that, and she has really dark skin. I think it's gone now after using that clotrimazole stuff.

I just started getting this shit so I did a search to see if anyone else has had it. I've never had it in my entire life until I started lifting, bulking and taking in large amounts of protein. :wtc: I'm have naturally tan skin and this shit is right in the middle of my chest so it sucks.

Selenium Sulfide 2.5%... apply it to wherever you have it and leave it on overnight... wash it off in the morning. 1 week it's gone.
