    I made a pretty decent low-cal dessert :
    2 cups of cottage cheese
1 pack of low-cal/sugar-free jell-o in 1 cup of warm water
Put in a blender until it's smooth, chill.
I add some fruits in the mix and it's a pretty decent cheesecake replacement.

200 lb today. I was at 197 yesterday, and hit the chinese buffet today nasty. I thought I was going to puke, then went back to work and weighed myself before shitting. I'm going to finish out my week, then start cutting on monday. I'm fucking terrified.

I don't know how I'm going to only live on 1400 cals per day...I've been eating 3200+ for over a year.

don't go right to 1400. actually, don't go to 1400 at all :ugh: but start higher, maybe 2500, and gradually reduce.

I think rmr is 1900 cals though. I don't give a fuck about the physical discomfort, I can deal with it.

Maybe, but if you still LIVE you're going to spend some more. Walking, lifting, cardio, it's all going to add up and you'll probably need more than 2500 cals a day on average just to maintain.

besides, it's not about minimizing discomfort, it's about avoiding adaptation by your body for as long as possible.

If you cut too fast you will lose a lot of muscle mass... Don't go straight to 1700 cals... Take it slow.

Yeah, I'm very happy to hit it, but not so happy with the way I look. I'm not like out of control fat or anything, but apparently I need to hit 230 before I'm happy. Its a fucking shame though, I still can't hang out by the pool without feeling like urkel.

15x bodyweight is a reasonable place to start for maintenance cals. the actual # is highly dependent on your metabolism and activity. There is no way you would maintain at 1900.

Seriously, dont go straight to 1400 calories... When I first started cutting I had the same mentality as you, until I got down to only 20 pounds left. My body had adapted to the intake of only 1600 calories, and for me to lose anymore I would have had to cut below that. Gradually go down, it will keep the fat loss steady and consistent.
