cause my ebay/cactus ones took a real shit on me last night during a friends shoot and thus will either hit ebay or the garbage can.

    Right now i have 2, 285hv's and 1, 580ex

Pocket Wizards: the obvious industry standard. but at 150 a pop, are pretty pricey

Radio Poppers: i guess neat if you need and have a slew of canon/nikon/TTL flashes. so i guess they are out of the picture

Cybersync: affordable, and works well with alienbees (possible for future strobe purchase)

Elinchrom Skyport: affordable as well, and works well with elinchrom strobes.

Have i covered all the options, or are there others that im missing?

Haha, you've asked at an interesting time. PWs just updated their lineup, but they're still pricey.

Take a look at the Radio Popper JRXs? They're supposed to come out in a couple/few weeks (hopefully RP doesn't push them back again). They're priced about the same as cybersyncs

yea, i just saw that pocketwizards added their own TL compatible triggers, but i dont really need them, and i dont think i ever will, not to mention im betting they are expensive as all hell.

i've lost faith in the JRx's because they keep pushing back the release date on them.

i've been scouring ebay and stuff for any of the older PW, like the old school blue ones, and they almost never seem to come up for sale.

can u recommend what places i can look at to find some for sale?

maybe place a wtb ad on fred miranda, dpreview or potn where people have the retarded upgrade itch

doubt most sportsshooters will migrate when many of these guys already have 10-20 multimaxes :mamoru: and serious folks w/custom channel coding
