yeah it kept the viewfinder, but that sacrifices LCD size

I want one... just cant afford the processing all the time. Should help with taking time setting up instead of racking off 30 shots and hoping for a good one though. Everyone should try a Med Format once

would you use it? there are cheaper, smarter options if you just want to shoot film.. like 35mm.

you can also get a TLR or a holga, both shoot MF, not in the same league but if its just for fun :dunno:

I work at a place that processes 120 color and B+W, E6, pretty much everything. And I get 50% off processing, and good deals on film, so it won't be as big a deal for me.

I already have 2 35mm film cameras, a Pentax K100 and a Minolta XG-7.. I dont like them very much. 35mm has no advantage over digital, really.. I'm going medium format for badass huge prints.

I was considering a Yashica Mat of a Seagull TLR, but like you said, they're just not in the same league. The only thing I feel I'm missing out on with this deal is square format, I really LOVE the square format.

    I already own 2 Holgas

    :hsugh:

I'll let you know, but once I see prints later today I'm sure I'll take it, it's a good deal.

    I'm really excited.

Someone brought in his Mamiya with Phase 1 dig back today, with a print straight from the camera, 300 dpi, no upsizing, and it was like 13x19

It was SO FUCKING SHARP and SO FUCKING DETAILED that it was almost confusing to look at. It seemed impossible.

if you want a tlr for fun forget the overpriced seagull. get a lubitel for around $30-50 or a rolleiflex/cord for a bit more.
