We got our 1st real snow of the year just before christmas. When he woke up that morning he was so excited to see all the snow, and all through breakfast all he could talk about was going outside to build a snowman, and have a snow-ball "chight" (he's still having troubles with his "eff" sounds) So that's exactly what we did. We got him bundled up and left his mom and baby brother inside for some good ole snowy fun!

You seem like you are a really good dad from the smile on your kids face. Great photos.

I love the combination of your processing and the overcast weather, the pictures are nice and sharp and give a kindo of film feeling. I'm kind of glad we dont get snow like that in central texas...

Would you recommend AI-servo for moments like this?

the only one you could even say there was "focusing issues" is the one where he's shoving snow in my face... but that's not focus issues, it's because I was shooting @ f/2.8 and he's on a different plane. Anything else you see that looks soft is probably due to my resizing to make the collages.

I have no doubts in your ability to focus.

Doesn't change my statement at all. We get snow in austin once or twice every 5 or 10 years, and when it does snow its usually gone within a few hours. People in texas can't drive for shit and the snow makes it worse...

IMO not great photography, FANTASTIC snapshots though, really captures your kids happiness and such.

I like the pictures, they just don't strike me as inspiring or incredible.

edit: edit for Gvidon the Astute.

oh yes the orange photos. [IMG]

sorry, maybe it's just me but i think these photos here are pretty damn good and far from snapshots. snapshots don't encompass great processing, rule of thirds, or depth of field.

    oh with pleasure. http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=4398655

click. see the difference. agree with me. understand my opinion stated earlier.

I never said I was better than you mang. Dont make it personal.

If you truly believe that "photography" is simply great processing, rule of thirds and depth of field...Best of luck to you. I believe photography is ART, therefore should invoke some sort of feeling, sentiment or emotional response in the pictures. Like I said above, it really captures his kids happiness, but doesnt do anything to EXHIBIT happiness. I also think that they are far from snapshots, but still retain a snapshot likness. Like I edited, FANTASTIC snapshots.
