    So yeah, since I'm relatively new to this hobby of SLR cams, I would appreciate if you pro's could like guide me in the world of lenses. What type of lens do I need for a certain situation? Also if you could give a recommendation for a specific lens, that would be cool too.

    Sports
    Wedding

    70-200 2.8
    100 2.8 for macro

    That prob. covers 95% of your shots. Then you can go into primes for more specific shots.

    Nice one. I been thinking of upgrading too, but I don't want to upgrade to the 50D, because the 40D is better at high ISO, and I don't dont want to update to 40D because it's getting old and probably soon outdated.

    I try to avoid high iso's if at all possible. ironic, since i do a lot of shooting at night around here, without flash. but the 50 is far better than my rebel was as far as noise... i've got the same amount at 3200 on my 50d, than i did at 800 on the rebel :mamoru:
