A&P lens dilemma...

Discussion in 'Lifestyle' started by coughlin's law, Feb 4, 2008.

  1. i'm hopefully getting a lense by summer for my xt, but i'm limited to funds. i've thought about a ef 100mm, on a crop body it becomes 160mm, i also thought about getting a 1.4x teleconverter, which would a 224mm.

but my main question is, should i save for the 70-200mm? on a crop body it becomes a 112-320mm should i go this route instead? i may get a full frame eventually...

Shit, you can get 70-200 f4s for super cheap. Just wait and pick one of those up.

the teleconverters don't fit on every lens, you should really post what you want to use the lens for even on a crop 100mm won't be enough for most telephoto applications.

that lens (100mm) is more for DOF, not for pure reach. it's more useful on a FF.
