Serious DOMS (i think thats the right term).

Anyway, I've had pain in my knees and have kept away from legwork and certain types of cardio for about 6 months now. Tried out legs on sunday and am still feeling it today

I made sure to hit everything thoroughly even though i did light-weights. My left calf is still fucked. I am limping pretty bad on it and it is more sore today than the other days. Being sore three days later kinda worries me...it actually made me miss monday and tuesday workouts.

What do you guys do to help speed recovery-time from soreness?

yeah, i think rest and sleep is a big problem for me right now. Averaging 5-6hrs a night. I'm pretty sure im eating enough. Im 182lbs taking in about 260grams of protein daily.

There's more to eating enough other than just protien - i'm sure you know this. It's easy to supplement 120+grams off just 2 protien shakes and you're skipping a lot of other necessary nutrition.... just a thought.

Agreed. Legs are the only part that still gets sore.. Did legs yesterday, and my ass hurts (lunges) and my quads hurt from squats. My calves don\'t really burn anymore. I maxed the DBs at my gym and they don\'t have a calf raise machine. :(

i took christmas break off due to not wanting to pay for a gym membership. came back to school 6 or 7 pounds lighter. just started OVT and got to day 2 (legs). first day after i felt alright, lil stiff. this morning i woke up and my legs would hardly bend.

    was a good feeling.

Lower your volume for leg day, or space it out over 2-3 sessions. That's what I do anyways.

    This killed me..
4 sets of 20 rep squats (on a machine)
    4 sets of 15 rep stiff-leg deads
2 sets of 15 rep leg presses

4 sets of 20 rep standing calf machine
4 sets of 15 rep seated calf machine

This is the first time in years my calves really got sore. Today its alot better. Im going to hit the gym again tonight. My lower back and ass got it good too...:greddy:

Hamstring tend to be sore for me the most. Most other muscles are only sore for a day if that...

Im guessing my hamstrings are always sore because a lot of pressure and strain is placed on them throughout the day... also I know that I should be stretching them more.

What should I do? I drink plenty of water, i stretch, plenty of carbs...My diet ranges from maintenance to over maintenance...I'll do whatever to shorten the time of soreness. it affects the amount of days I'm in the gym.
