What ratio should I have going for my upper to lower body workouts?

I currently do 1 leg day out of the week and have 3-4 upper body days.

Should I incorporate more leg days, or from your experiences, 1 day out of 5 is enough?

Do you count deadlifting as a lowerbody or upperbody exercise?

I've personally never done deadlifts before. I've never been taught the correct form, or what it actually works out. Anyone care to share?

:wtc: they never taught us this in weight training back in HS, and I haven't done any other weight training type of stuff.

Last thing I want to do is do something wrong, and fuck something up because I don't know how to do it right.
