Is there a legal way to do this? I have a friend that has small children and he wants to know if you can burn copies so he doesn't have to keep replacing the disks that the kids scratch all up.

Probably need a mod chip to get the PS2 to play a copied game. As for the best way to actually copy the games, I'm not sure. I wonder if DVD Shrink or just Nero Disc Copy would be good enough?

You'd need a modchip or swap magic to play them.

DVD Decrypter ISO read then ISO write to burn.

No matter what you do, "backing" them up is not legal.
