So you want to do something like.... "Find us on *CNN Logo*" ??

    Sounds wicked corny to me.

Stuff like that may add credibility to a LP... but on a business card? I would probably laugh and throw it away.

Legally - I guess it would depend if it was a trademarked logo.

i figured there be some legal issues but the team im working with wanted to know and brought up this idea of having social networking company logos on the back of a business cards since we too use those media outlets to reach out to our customers.

id assume your allowed to use them since you can copy and paste their codes to your website to tell people where to find you

example: http://www.shoemoney.com/ scroll to footer and look at the right side

just becayse you link to them doesnt make it alright.

They can be dicks and still bitch at you for having their site even somewhat associated with another company. They own the copyrights so they can bitch just about anything :o

trademark law is pretty straight forward.
If you are legitimately using their logo and not trying to confuse or misuse the customer into believing that you are that company or offer that companies products, then by law, you are not infringing on trademarks.
It can get pretty detailed but as long as you are on the up and up, you need not worry too much.
But, since the US is such a litigious society, you may still face legal threats that you may have to be monetarily liable for at least responding.

There are different trademark laws for each country and unless they register their trademark in those countries, their logos may hold no water. That being said, hosting in other countries can off-set any legal issues you may face.

I had to do a fucking complete review for our corporate office on the legitimate use of logos for internal purposes and really, as long as you are not trying to pull bullshit off, you can pretty much use what you want.

to me it seems to smack of something someone in highschool will do

put your domain on it and then they can find out the places you are on or ways to contact you besides email or phone
