I hurt my leg pretty bad several months ago playing volleyball. The injury is on the backside of my left leg behind my knee. It isn't my knee itself, but one of the tendons that connects to my hamstring. It is the tendon closest to the inside that you can feel sticking out when you bend your leg.

When I first hurt it, I couldn't even walk for a couple of days. Since then, it has gotten better but still starts hurting when I am doing strenuous exercise such as play volleyball or tennis, or sometimes when I am working out hard. Otherwise it doesn't hurt much if at all. It isn't bad enough to stop me, but it is very annoying.

Any ideas on how I can make this go away??

I can't really remember a single incident. I was playing volleyball 3 straight nights per week for anywhere from 2-4 hours each time. I remember that it started hurting me on a Thursday, but not too bad. I played Friday night and it was hurting me significantly more, but I toughed it out and finished the 4 hour session. The next morning I couldn't walk...

As I stated, the pain really isn't in the knee joint, but in the tendon that connects the hamstring to the knee area...

I did take several weeks off a while back, and it did go away for the most part... But it came back again when I started going at it again...

Seeing the doctor is the best advice, but I was wondering if anyone had something similar and found a solution... I HATE going to the doctor... :noes:
