Good Luck man... give 100 percent all the time and you'll accomplish the mission.

I might see you down there at the USO Monday night when I report in for MCT. You'll be the confused one sitting cross legged for hours... ;)

I've always been a motivated guy so I hope that helps me out a lot. I'll give it my best so I don't let the Corps down.

Why does everyone ruin it when we try to send them shit in the mail. It would have been hilarious to receive that shit in boot camp. Yeah, it would suck at the time, but it's worth the memory.

Anyways, he'll probably get on the computers at the USO while he is waiting for the DI, so he'll see this.

Don't talk to any of the Marines at the airport who are just coming back from their 10 day leave and going to boot camp. For some reason most shitbags think that by telling their stupid ass same stories to recruits about to go to boot camp, they can somehow feel cool and get a boner over it. The most annoying thing in the world is seeing 10 nervous fuckasses circled around 1 Marine about to cream his panties blabbing his mouth.

The only secret you need to know in boot camp is to become the scribe, or be best friends with the scribe. Tell those stupid Marines to shut the fuck up when they try to talk to you. If they are annoying enough to just come up to you and say "are you about to go to boot camp" --- just kick them in the face, because that signals they are so desperate and pathetic to give tips that they will actually approach people. Usually it's the shitbags that do this because they did so bad in boot camp that they feel by telling their professional tips will somehow redeem them.

    Exaaactly.

You can really spot the turds when they come back from Iraq and lie about the shit they did. Or, they wear their dog tags out of their shirt, within 2 minutes of meeting someone they try to be slick and say "Man, this music reminds me of tha time in boot camp, Marine boot camp that is, when we.....etc"

I don't even tell people i'm a Marine. Most people can tell a Marine by the way he walks and acts. It looks a lot better when you don't say shit about it, then after an hour of conversation, they ask you something that gives it away and find out you're in the military.

Yeah that is usually the #1 reason people say something to me about the military. "Are you in the service? Yeah I could tell by your haircut."

I can't imagine being in a place where they dislike the military....everyone around here is so friendly and appreciative. Do you ever get the urge to beat the shit out of someone if they give you some nasty remark?

all the time, my buddies and i have been in our share of brawls with liberal college fags and asshole civilians in our time here.

i was stationed at Fort Benning which is in Columbus, Georgia before coming here and that was such a military town. very friendly folks down there even though i didnt really like the area all too much.

Yeah I know what you mean. I don't really hang out with other Marines outside of drill, but I have a few buddies in other branches who do that. My friend hasn't even been to boot camp and he does that shit already. I die laughing when people say "what is your job going to be" --- he is a supply guy --- and he'll say "I'm the guy who sits behind the gate and give people rounds or give them their guns when they need them. My recruiter said i'll learn how to work on all sorts of military shit." ---- I tried explaining to him the difference between supply and the armory, and his job of sitting on his ass watching TV behind a fence is not as fun as he thinks.

I was at some party where some guy who just got out of the Army was telling everyone that they teach UFC fighting in basic training in the Army. He even went as far as to show a couple moves, which were coincidentally shit you learn as a tan belt in MCMAP.

I didn't call his bluff and embarass him, but it would have felt nice. The other people were too stupid to know that "UFC Fighting" isn't a fighting style, so I said fuck it.

Probably the biggest shitbags I see though are Marines who came home from boot camp for some reason or another, usually medical, and wear nothing but Marines t-shirts or dogtags or some shit. They always tell stories about it, and they are always "about to go back" and finish. I had a friend of a friend (ex-recruit) tell me, the first time I met him, that he got shot in Iraq and sent home. I questioned him about some shit only a Marine would know, and he didn't know anything. The next time we met, he pretended like he didn't tell me the Iraq story, and admitted he was hurt in MRP.

Sorry guys, I can type for hours and tell stories :x:. Believe it or not I try to keep it short.
