ummm i brought 2 tshirts, 2 pairs of boxers, 2 pairs of socks, toothpaste, toothbrush, some soap, a sponge, some deoderant and the clothes i had on my back. Drivers license, $20 in cash (preferably 1 single 20 dollar bill, ull see why), address book, 10 stamps, a couple pens. Dont go crazy....try to bring it all in a backpack, you may be the victim of "pick em up, put em down".

try to have fun and just remember its a job to them, take nothing personally, live meal to meal and sunday to sunday, NEVER EVER raise your hand for ANYTHING (ull see why)...and try to volunteer to be the chrome cleaner.

    enjoy!

PS when u sit down at chow, eat as fast as u possibly can.

    Some quick tips for you.

-Always keep an extra 422 someplace on you.
-Don't use the urinals in your dorm.
-Make sure you shave at the airport.

    thanks for the adivce

ps...i talked to some people...and i coulda swore they said NOT to raise your hand for the chrome cleaner, just cuz it's a job that NEVER stays done no matter how much you do it...but maybe i misunderstood them:ugh2:

edit: i remember what i wanted to ask now...soap to buy...do they force you to use bars...or can you use body wash stuff (i personally like bars better but i heard that it's a bitch to keep them looking "clean" or what not during inspection, and body wash was much easier to manage)

My whole flight used body wash, our TI wouldn't let anyone have barsoap.

LOL...loofah! So they don't inspect hygiene items anymore??!! Lucky bastards! My shaving gel would always screw me. You thought you rinsed it enough, and then when you open your drawer for inspection, sure as shit, there was blue shaving gel that leaked out onto the towel.

Nope. No more hygeine item inspections, security drawer only inspected for contraband....

Our chrome cleaner had it pretty easy....I was a wall locker duster (top of...it was simple and easy). Center aisle sweeper is good...u sweep every1s dust from the dustdown. Firemonitor (trash collector) wasn't that bad either

I feel for you bra. But you will become closer to those guys than most of your family.

And everybody who said bring as little as possible is forril. If you can fit it in a backpack, DO IT. I was an idiot and brought a huge duffel bag.

    What branch is this anyway?
