I have a Lexmark Optra and instead of flicking the switch on the back off and on whenever I use it, I just leave it on. I guess it is energy star rated and goes into a power saving mode when it isn't printing, but you can't tell if it is or not.

There are times when I use it everyday and then times were it will sit for a week without use. Dose it matter if I leave it turned on for those long periods of in activity? Dose any of that fuser, charger, heater stuff stay charged?

I've kept my Lexmark Optra E312L on for months with no problem.
