I know, but from what i read on here, no one really gives a shitty about sodium. (plus i need to eat more, and in college dorm's....they lack any real good post work out foods)

uncle ben's rice bowl > that

get a sweet & sour chicken one. then add a can of tuna for more protein. & some other mixed veggie's too.
it comes with like 50+g of carbs & 20g protein stock. it makes a good meal with extra protein from tuna added.

why not just two cans of tuna, and a slice of wheat toast?

I'm going "cut" shopping today. Lots of tuna, cottage cheese, chicken breasts, steaks, whole wheat bread, canned yams, etc. Costco better have all that..

Because that would be a pretty shitty post workout meal.

under ingrediants... it lists sucrose ahead of dextrose so I think that means gatorade has more sucrose than dextrose. Presuming half half... that's about 15g of dextrose per 500ml. Not much :dunno:

you aren't going to be getting the amount of dextrose you need PWO unless you drink like 2L or get more carbs elsewhere

I nail those frozen dinners pre-workout sometimes. They're a decent alternative to shakes and bars... but definitely not enough nutrition for a post workout meal IMO.
