I have a Dell Laptop, and on the left edge of the screen is a vertical red line. It wont show up in screenshots and it's pretty skinny. It used to go away if I tapped the middle of the screen, and sometimes it'd change color. Does it mean it's going out? because I'm about to start college soon, and the warranty's about to be up, so if it is, I want them to fix it ASAP.

    Thanks in Advance

Don't even delay. It shouldn't have a red line, and you shouldn't have to tap anything to get it to work.

Good luck with Dell support, and don't mention the tap thing to them.

I called them and they told me my warranty expired June 14th(not July like I thought). :hsd:

I'm just gonna keep it until it decides to go out(I'll probably be back here asking for suggestions) and then I'll just get a Toshiba or something(what could possibly be worse?)

toshiba is one of the worst.... don't do it.

For school, get a ThinkPad. The metal hinges and drop-resistant hdd carriage are godsends
