I watched "Latter Days" this weekend.
I still find myself affected by the story - still thinking about the characters and the story.

I'm really depressed about it, and not really sure why.
One of my favorite movies of the year.

I heard good things about the book. I'm gonna have to pick it up now for sure.

On a different note, has anyone read The Year of Ice? I saw it at Barnes and Noble and was considering picking it up.

    It's a movie. (Maybe it's a book too)

I'd recommend renting the movie though. I'd like to hear other people's input about the movie.

I wonder if it affected other people or it only affected me.

I bought the DVD today from BestBuy and just finished watching it. AMAZING is all I can really say. I won't spoil this for anyone else, but I don't think I've ever had that kind of emotional reaction to a movie before. I concede that some of the dialogue wasn't exactly top-rate, but it didn't really take anything away from the movie. It didn't hurt that Steve Sandvoss has that heart-melting, innocent, boy-next-door look either.

I gotta buy the book now.

I just watched it. While there were a couple of times where the acting wasn't so great, on the whole it was pretty well made. I really liked it. I felt all mushy and :hs: by the end.

It's true; good film. I didn't even mind staying up past my bedtime to watch it
