New customer referred by another. It was extremely dirty for only 10k miles. It appears she used either a paper towel or a dobbie to remove some bugs leaving the hood very swirled. Process is as follows.

    Interior
    Vacuum
    MCME
    303 on Platics
    Autoglym on Leather
    20/20 on Glass

    Exterior
    Wash
    Meg #80 Speed Glaze
    Poorboys EX
    FX Tire Shine
    303 on Platics
    20/20 on Windows

    Now the important part

I actually used it just because of the ongoing thread in this forum. I normally use SSR2.5 but decided to give old Speed Glaze some time out of the cabinet. I used a PC with Lake County Polishing Pad

I still have yet to be able to get SSR2.5 to work worth a damn for me.

A Dobie Pad is like a sponge, with a fishing line like, woven fabric material spread over the sponge. Its great for pots and pans, especially no-stick teflon varities, as it wont remove the teflon material.

Not so great on car paint though.

This is the best picture i can find of it.

You can somewhat see the plastic fabric texture in the box cut away.

She probibly used it becuase it says on teh box "cleans without scratching", and on the uses on the back, it lists "automobiles", but has items like "removes bugs, tar and tree sap from, glass, bumpers, grills, and trim"...obviously not paint.

But like a women would actually read the line list of uses. SHe just say automobile, and said "GREAT!" and went to town.

That being said, ive seen people attempt to remove paint scuffs from the paint of a vehicle useing a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. :uh: Takes all kinda i guess.

Ouch! It was pretty nasty to start with.

Nice turnaround, looks so much better...although I would have probably also removed the 'chevyland' decal too. Screw dealers who force their customers to advertise for them. :rant2:
