    Products & procedures used:

NXT car wash with cotton chennile and wool mits, dried with mf towels
Poorboy's SSR1 by hand for light polishing to remove adhesive marks left from shipping tape
Vanilla Moose glaze applied with terry cloth; buffed off with mf towels
p21s wax with foam applicator; buffed off with mf towels

We did some final spot checking w/ NXT speed detailer.

Nice job! Looks like you could use a detailing brush on the crevices to remove the excess polish/wax/etc. I noticed it around the tail lights and especially just under the driver's side headlamp where the front bumper cover meets the front quarter panel.

That metallic paint really looks SHARP!

    Pics don't work.

Where do you get those products from? I've never heard of any of them (except the NXT).

    Cant help with the pics...

But i can help with the products.

SSR1 is Poorboys Super Swirl Remover Abrasive Level 1, it also comes in SSR2, SSR2.5, and SSR3. More abrasive the higher the number. It works relatively quickly, dusts a bit, but its a fantastic polish.

Vanilla Moose, often refered to as VM, is from a company called ClearKote, and its a VERY easy to use glaze, with mild cutting properties, that gives a deep wet look to paint, and helps remove minor swirling. You can wipe it on and wipe it off by hand, for a quick glazed look. Or you can use it with a Porter Cable, to work the polish completely, and get optimal swil reduction.

P21S is a European car care company. They have a full line of products avliable. The P21S Carnuba Paste Wax is essentially the same as S100 Carnuba Paste Wax that is avliable at local Harley Davidson Dealerships at $13 a bottle. Very deep wet look, and easy as hell to apply, wipe on, wipe off. Some elitist pricks on Autopia think that P21S is supperior to S100, and that it doesnt look as good. But they are so close, and the results with S100 are so good, that what, if any differnce in appearence doesnt make a difference. $13 for S100, or $45 for P21S...

Theres also a full listing of most popular products in the stickied detail products thread on the main page.

I washed my GTO today, but haven't done anything past that. Time to pick up some polishes, glazes and the works. :big grin:

Better than a $400 a month watering bill trying to keep grass green during a Phoenix summer.

BINGO! I live on an acre and over half of it is grass. :( Every time I mow it I wish it were rock. Every day I pull in the driveway I'm glad it's grass. Go figure. :eek4:
