Just received it. P226 'Rail' chambered in .40SW with a .357SIG Bar-Sto barrel on order. Pictures were taken after a quick wipe-down with a silicone cloth, so better pictures will be posted later. Just wanted to share the joy with my fellow handgun enthusiasts...

Thanks. I'm half tempted to go to the range tonight and test it out. Place closes at 10pm... indoor, air conditioning... :hyper:

congrats on the pistol. I picked mine up a few months ago and have about 1500 rounds thru it already. A sweet shooting pistol for sure.

I've had problems with the screws and pins on my Sigs rusting. I'm not asking to be sarcastic but are the screws and pins on this stainless Sig stainless as well?

I got a 226 for Xmas last year, but now I'm kicking myself in the ass for not getting one with a rail.

Kick yourself even harder now... the USCG has issued a contract to SIGARMS to equip the CG with the P226R. SIG is going to have to ramp up production heavily to meet the demand, which means that civilians are likely to have a hard time obtaining the 226R, or at least at a decent price, for the next couple of months. Could be well into 2005 before it's easily obtainable.

Glad I bought mine when I did. :hs:
