Went out for a drive/hike to relax Friday afternoon and wend to the local Mendon Ponds park. Thought I'd get one last one in before the new snow was all gone and liked this one best so far although it doesn't exactly show the most snow.

9 stop ND + polarizer rotated to maximize reflection off the pond

I figured since I haven't posted anything here before and came out with this yesterday that I'd share it. Comments etc welcome.

The stacked filters usually cause a very slight vignetting at 17mm, but a lot of that is (probably) from the polarizer on the wide angle and the fact that the reflection off the water and the water itself got darker closer to the shore. I haven't taken any steps to correct it at the moment.

    Nice.

Got any further around the shore too the right? Seems like all the light is there and would also make a good picture.

Couldn't really, I was on the last bit of land before it turned in to a muddy mess that my camera and I would have sunk in to.

That and there were shrubberies in the way!

Me too, rather dark forest :( I did a fair bit of work in layer masks to get the sky and trees to where they are now (sky was too light, trees too dark). I'd have used a grad ND for the sky but the damn trees, the trees! Glad you liked it though, thanks!

I wanted to keep the trees in it but if I had tried other angles without them then that would have been less of an issue for sure. I was rushing myself at that point b/c I was getting hungry for dinner
