The remake come out in a couple of weeks. I don't think it really needed to be re-done. They will have to do some over the top shit to be more shocking than the original. Wes Craven must be doing it for the cash.

I liked the original and i hope the remake is more like the Friday the 13th or even the Halloween remake then say, When a Stranger Calls. I enjoyed the original but holy fucking cock was the audio horrible and what the fuck was with those moronic cops?! All seriousness of the movies was lost everytime those stupid fucking cops spoke

For some reason I think they're going to try to go too big with the remake like they did with the Amityville Horror remake where the original had draw out suspense and the remake was over-the-top. Is it sad that I liked the remake better :dunno:

I watch some of these old movies and it's easy to see why it shocked people. People are not shocked by much today. I'll see it when it opens, but all I expect is over the top gore, and alot of b-list actors.

Just saw it last night. Some parts were a little lame but on the whole i thought it was on par if not better than the original. Now, if only i didn't have to listen to commentary the whole movie from the bitch on my left

I wasn't impressed with this movie. I think most of my disappointment is due to not having seen the original.

I thought the movie was pretty spotty and when something was going on it was excessive. I would not recommend it.

I think the best part about the remake was they left out the moronic, over-the-top sheriff and his stupid sidekick
