ADAN (SW) departing DING DING . Off to school .
How much sea-time do you have?
32 months. The squadron I'm going all I'm doing is 18 months but my orders say obliserv to AUG 2009 which is my PRD. I need to make 3rd bad. I want some overseas orders or I'm going reserve .
I liked my boat just hated some of the stuff we did at times. 2 crackpacks in 15 months. Always being out to sea kind of sucked .
AD must suck right now for advancement to AD3.
Yeah it's bad. I'm glad I have an EP and decent amount of award points this time around .
Counter Narcotic Operations.
What platform are you heading to?
HSL Squadron working on SH-60B's. I wanted to work with helo's I knew Bravo's are giant pieces of junk but they're phasing them out .
Good call getting away from the surface navy Try to get back on a small boy if you can though, the helo dudes always seem to be in a weird position on a carrier. Like they're always in our (fixed wing) way but we need them flying, so I always feel for them when they're having troubles during a launch. Plus a carrier is too crowded anyway. Enjoy school.
I'm so happy to be leaving the surface community it's not even funny. 85% of the dets go to ffg's the other to cgs/ddgs. This might be what keeps me in .
Where is your school?
Coronado,CA @ North Island.
when i was ADAN, it took me 3 tries to get to AD3... sucks having too many people in same rate!
Yeah my roomate is a BM3 he piped me off did the whole side boys deal it was cool .
Yeah, I've took the test twice. To my defense I've never worked with any aircraft besides flight quarters so that's hendered me from advancing. Even with EP's I haven't made the cut . I have to make this time because I only have 1 year left .
