Sadly i didnt have a pass, so i couldnt get optimal positioning, but i managed to snap a few shots. I also hit up the car show area and got to use my radio poppers for the first time. Keep in mind i was experimenting, but let me know what you think.

Ha...you cant miss them. I was actually setting up for some shots when they just walked up in front of my shoot and posed. I was like WTF?! The boombox guy says "hey take our pic". Well i couldnt pass up an 80's retro shot, so i just zoomed back out, shot, and hoped for the best. You can see my assistant in the background with my other popper. Anyways this shot wasnt supposed to be anything technically special...just fun.

out of your first post, #3 is compositionally the best, but it's a little out of focus. first one is so out of focus it hurts... but i doubt i could do better.

Yea, the orange one was just so perfectly detailed and amazing that i had a hard time not wanting to hover around it all night. Very sexy car IMO

Panning and focusing with the slow motor Tammy was a bit of an issue at times with the low light. I really need a 70-200 2.8 IS. Ive also noticed that i dont like some of the clarity of the HDRs i shot. That i dont like.

    Thanks!
Yea, the cobra was parked on the curb right outside the entrance gate and got a lot of attention. Kind of wish i had my other popper out for some additional lighting.

maybe it's my eyes or the plasma but I'm not seeing a whole lot of sharp focus.

Ha ha...you seriously know them? Thats great. Go ahead and show them. Ive got a few more of them if they want to see them. They pretty much ran through the whole show and goofed off, so i was hard to not take a pic without them somewhere in the shot.

Im not sure i know what you mean. Elaborate?

Yea, i was noticing that too and am kind of ticked that i didnt notice it before posting them. Looks like my Tammy had a hard time hunting for focus in a few in the low light (its weakness). It Also could be because some are shot HDR with F2.8. That tends to make anything thats not directly in focus look soft/fuzzy and just blah. It also can be a combo of the two.:wtc:

    Yes, they sure were. :hsd:

Ive done panning before, but this was a bit different. The only place where i could peak my camera through was in this spot. Whole damn place was loaded with pro photogs. I had to pan as they entered a corner changed velocity and then exited at another angle while i didnt hit or have someone enter my frame as i moved the camera.

I think that semi is from the Los Banos area.

Driving home from Santa Cruz yesterday, I saw it in a front yard on 152 heading to the 99.
