Which is the best brand that runs off Windows? I heard Dell sucks
depends on the model... from $800 and up to $2000
which model is good for someone in college?
for PCs Dell used to be awesome, not so much anymore. I have had 4 in the last 3 years for work and had 1 HDD failure, 1 optical drive failure, and one mobo burn up. I am getting a powerbook.
i personally use the M5N. Awsome notebook. Not designed for gaming, but it's uber lightweight, super-portable, and is feature rich with great battery life. (perfect for college)
I personally love IBM for laptops..... expensive though, but you pay for what you get.
I'm looking for reliability and best bang for the buck
The new Thinkpads are quite nice, and IBM tech support is about the best I've encountered.
IBM is a little out of my price range....1k
I have a Dell. It works great. I have had one problem with the speaker input being broke on shipping. Tech support came to my house and replaced the whole mother board. I havent had any more problems
