for PCs Dell used to be awesome, not so much anymore. I have had 4 in the last 3 years for work and had 1 HDD failure, 1 optical drive failure, and one mobo burn up. I am getting a powerbook.

i personally use the M5N. Awsome notebook. Not designed for gaming, but it's uber lightweight, super-portable, and is feature rich with great battery life. (perfect for college)

I personally love IBM for laptops..... expensive though, but you pay for what you get.

:werd: The new Thinkpads are quite nice, and IBM tech support is about the best I've encountered.

I have a Dell. It works great. I have had one problem with the speaker input being broke on shipping. Tech support came to my house and replaced the whole mother board. I havent had any more problems
