So I'm buying a new laptop to head off to school with. Looking for suggestions :wiggle:!

-Don't really have a price limit, but what that means is probably under 3000.
    -Don't want a MAC
-Would like to game on it... basically just Counter Strike and World of Warcraft for now.
-Would obviously like a nice system to run basic programs needed for school.

Help me out here, thats pretty vague, so sounds good.

Dell XPS. Not the greatest laptop ever, but pretty much as close as you'll ever get to a gaming rig in laptop form.

Don't really need like, a spectacular gaming machine... I have that in my Desktop. I just want to be able to play the games on it if need be, without too much lag/fps lag and shit... would like to play without the system getting annihilated.

Dell XPS weighs 7 pounds, which is damn heavy but better than that bitch. Not to mention, it has cool ricer LEDs that you can change the color of in the BIOS.

After lugging around my ~10lb Inspiron 9100 for the past 2-3 years... i am seriously looking for a more portable laptop... that is still powerful. A nice Lenovo has been in my dreams for months.

It's just so hard to find a reasonably-sized, well-built laptop with dedicated graphics, though. The closest I've come to seeing one in real life was a 12"-14" Averatec notebook with a Turion X2 and an nVidia GoForce (or whatever they're called).

You will never need to play games on your laptop. The only reason you'd ever get a laptop for gaming is because you want one, so get a good one.
