I want to buy a 2nd battery for my laptop, for an extra and i was wondering is it ok, to have the battery that is not in use, charged all the way up. Will this cause damage to the battery if its not used and its fully charge and will it stay fully charged until i need it?

i'de swap them out regularly. I had a spare battery and never used it for about 2 years. When the battery that i used regularly died the spare was still good, just didnt have any power stored. If you use the first battery for a couple of weeks and then swap the batteries around you should be able to keep it calibrated though.

While you will be able to use it it won't stay fully charged. You will have to top it off. I also would advise just swapping them out every week or so like stated above. Keeps the battery in best shape to be used at least some.

store it at 40% capacity, that's when it is most stable.

Is it hot-swapple or does it require screws to install/uninstall? Curious..
