i was thinking of a 1.5, but i found a hell of a deal on ebay on a 1.3 and since i'm building a barebones laptop on a budget i was thinking of it.

I can watch DVD's on my owl 800 Mhz Celeron HP, that has a 2 mb onboard graphics processor. The answer is yes. You think they put fast proc's in a DVD player? Its not a power-hungry thing at all.
