So my laptop is having some issues. For a while the computer would be fine, and then just shut off in the middle of whatever you were doing. Now the computer wont even turn on. I don't know what to fix on it to fix it? Power supple? Something loose? Something need to be reset? Halp OTizzle!!

No not to touch atleast. I mean the thing used to get way hotter. That was the first thing I figured it might be. The fans turn on and such, and there isn't any dust in the blades or anywhere?

I think its overheating. I had a Toshiba that did that. Worst Buy ended up taking it back because I got suckered into the PSP. Good thing I got it, when I did.

    HP DV1315CL Specifically

The class is HP DV1000 Series or something like that.

    I'm dumbfounded :hs:

I checked the BIOS and I'm up to date as far as that crap goes.

I don't think so. The fans all still work and the fans are not clogged.

and you KNOW for a fact it wasnt switching to battery power?

i have seen several laptops, mostly toshiba, where there is a break where the power connector comes into the machine, now for the tricky part:

there is typically a feedback loop for the battery and the ac, so even if your battery is charged, you might not be getting power through to the machine. check it out
