    ok so here is my current situation, the current laptop im using, I pretty much built 6 years ago. However here is my current situation, I have 2 sticks of 512MB at pc3200 (200mhz), now I know that if I upgraded to 400MHZ it wont run on that, it will run at the mobo max speed. However, what if i was to get pc 3400 or 4k. I know the BIOS cannot be upgraded because there isnt a flash out for it, and I know the mobo is old and outdated. How would I go about updating it? Is it worth taking out the current mobo and replacing it? I love the high resolution on this screen, however my problem continues to exsist with my memory. I dont know what to do. Sometimes the memory will pick up all 1gb sometimes only one stick. Ive ran cpuz several times and did trial and error with switching sticks to see if its the slots or the memory. Both slots alone work with both sticks. However the 2 of them no good, SOMETIMES. I know they get hot, but what doesnt. Is there 2GB sticks out there of pc3200? I cant find any with 200pin. Any help here would be fantastic! Here is the CPUZ output

    Either kingston.com or crucial.com will both list all available ram for your system. I'm going to guess that a 6 year old laptop will not support 2GB sticks, so you may be SOL, but check one of those sites to confirm.

    yeah it doesnt support anything over 1gb which truly does suck, and there is no update either for it
